Siddharth Biswas is the man at the helm of the Du Parc
residences. As General Manager, he will be responsible for ensuring the very highest standards of comfort and service for all those who make Du Parc their home.
Raised in Delhi, Siddharth explains how an early passion for entertaining and the very finest service drew him to the international heart of luxury and refinement. He began his career with a placement at the legendary Four Seasons George V
, and has now been with the Kempinski Group
, which manages Du Parc, for seven years.
The role of GM at Du Parc brings fresh challenges: Siddharth fully grasps that managing the residences will differ in crucial ways from managing a hotel: With a hotel, there is a certain level of flexibility, but you are always dealing with a fixed product. At Du Parc, the situation is very different. This is someones home. We cater to their every need, and with the utmost discretion.
Siddharth will manage the residences from his office in the Du Parc building, out of which he will direct his team of expert staff, available 24 hours a day. I want our reception to be a one-stop-shop for our residents every requirement, he explains.
Building that team is clearly a job that he relishes. My core team will include a highly-experienced Head Butler, a number of junior butlers, three housekeeping staff and two handymen. They will all receive scrupulous Kempinski training.
The personal touch is central to Siddharths approach at Du Parc. When each homeowner moves into their property, he states, I will personally welcome them and arrange a meeting at their convenience. Based on this, I can customize our facilities to best suit their lifestyle.
The love that Siddharth already feels for his new Swiss home is infectious, and the restorative mountain air and active lifestyle he speaks so highly of have clearly put a spring in his step. I dont think it is possible to ever tire of these views, he smiles, speaking of the incredible vistas from the residences across Lake Geneva, the Alps, and the UNSECO-protected landscape around the residences. Add to this the convenience of the location, (just 85km from Genevas international airport) and Siddharth concludes that it is truly unbeatable.
He is also keen to share his passion for the buildings history
: The Belle Époque architecture struck me immediately: the heritage of Du Parc is one of its most distinguished features and the renovation project has seamlessly added state-of-the-art facilities while conserving its history.
Siddharth will throw all his energies into ensuring that every day at Du Parc is perfect for its residents. But what would his ideal day involve? I would make the most of the morning air with a bike ride in the countryside, then return for breakfast on the balcony, brought by one of the butlers, he muses. A spa treatment in the Givenchy
treatment room would be next, then an invigorating swim. I would have lunch at a nearby Swiss restaurant before touring the Lauvaux
vineyards and wineries, accompanied by Du Parcs Rolls Royce chauffeur. And to round off the day? Id watch a film of my choice in the screening room, dine in a local restaurant, then enjoy a cigar in the Davidoff
Its a tempting vision, and one that Siddharth eagerly anticipates tailoring to fit whatever Du Parcs residents desire.
